INEC STILL DEBATING ON GENERAL ELECTIONS
Hello people,how is our weekend coming along? News and reports all over of election postponement has come as a shock to Nigerians and people are not happy about it. the INEC chairman Mal Attahiru Jega met today Saturday the 7th of February with political parties and the civil society, apparently 21 Residential commissioners are in support for the proposed elections scheduled to hold place should still commence while 16 REC'S are against the elections holding on 14th and 28th respectively. civil society leaders said Mr Jega was pressured to postpone the elections because security agencies including the police and the military said they will not support or promise any security for the elections if not postponed to the stipulated six weeks from now. The security agents said that they are commencing a six weeks special operations against Boko Haram in the North east and would not want the elections to distract them.
